Blog #2--Skeleton Crew--Stephen King
In this book of short stories written by Stephen King the story I'm reading now so far involves a huge storm which is like none other. It devastates the little town. The husband, which is the first person character of the story and his wife Steffy and their kid Billy all witness the treacherous storm from the basement of their lakeside home. From the wind howling through the house or the lightning lighting their way it was scary to them all, it didn't stop tho when their big oak fell through the picture window into their living room. After the fact of the storm when the family came outside there was trees fallen and branches everywhere, their boathouse was collapsed and there was a power-line on their driveway. Billy was all terrified that the electricity would go through the ground and hurt him. At that point I quit reading. But it seems quite catching. I still hate reading but it's not the worst thing in the world. This storm kind of reminds me of how the past year has been treating us in Michigan. The storms are more frequent and over time they just keep growing worst and worst. I'm starting to think that eventually we're gonna get a storm like that. The last one we had wasn't to far from it. All I know is that I'm not looking forward to it.

Blog Post #1 Skeleton Crew by Stephen King
When I read fifteen pages it took me roughly forty-five minutes. Reading just is not my thing. I read on the couch in the living room the one time I did read this week. I was sitting on our burgundy sectional with the cool breeze of the ceiling fan on my face and our three german shepard's all laying spread out on the floor. The television is on with who knows what chick flick is playing at this point, then there's the smell coming from the kitchen of Amanda's next home cooked meal. As I'm sitting there reading my mind continuously wanders, unable to focus on the book. No matter how hard I try I can not picture any action or any feelings, all I see is words on a page. I've tried to get into reading but it's never worked. I mean isn't that why they invented movies? Honestly I don't think that that book is for me, I need an easier read I just can't comprehend that book among most others. I guess I'll just have to get another book and try again, it's all you can do right?
